the dress was insanely awesome, and the choice of hairstyle was unexpected and i thought looked fantastic. all around a surprise, which i liked.

I think Diana Agron looks really great in this photo here: http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2010/08/29/arts/20100830_REDCARPET-8.html the dress is just a little bit off. I feel like it could have worked, but it just went too far in the Gone with the Wind direction.

I didn’t like January Jones’ hair, and I haven’t liked it at the past few events. I guess she’s trying to do something less Mad Men, but it ends up looking too undone. Which probably means she and I have the same hair texture, I can’t wear my hair down when it’s long, it ends up looking a lot like that.

I wasn’t crazy about many of the dresses I’ve seen from this year, which is sad. I like Anna Paquin’s but wish she were smiling in the pics.

Keri Russell looks like she’s wearing off-the-rack J.Crew, which is fine but it has it’s place.

Claire Danes looked great, but would have liked to seen a cuff on her.

Toni Collette looked great and I think the most authentic, she seems to like quirk and the print does it.

Loved the McQueen on Anna Paquin – but black satin? Very difficult to wear – no matter how thin you are! January Jones in Versace – ridiculous! ‘Nuf said! Kerri Russell – yes, where is the bra? Heidi Klum looks like she is ready to star in a ‘Real Housewives’ episode! Who the hell is Stephanie Platt? Do we care? Rita Wilson – LOL! Do you think she will get up on a step ladder when she get’s home to replace the missing parts of her chandelier? And those shoes!!?? Jane Lynch – you have to give her a break – she’s gay – and has probably never worn an evening dress before. I give her 100 points for trying – she looked fabulous!! And you forgot Edie Falco – who got my ‘best dressed’ award!
